To many Superstock fans around the country, the men who do battle weekly on the racetracks around the country are but a name and a number. With these Behind The Helmet driver interviews, kiwisuperstocks.co.nz aims to give you a bit more information about their driving history, and the day-to-day lives of these 21st century helmeted gladiators.

This interview was completed and first published by this writer back in 2001...The Baypark venue was still in it's first season, and RODNEY WOOD was the star of the Superstock scene locally, and one of the biggest names nationally too. Plenty of water has passed under the bridge since then, but its still an interesting read...
