Superstock racing in New Zealand has a rich history, stemming from events in just the major centres in the 50's, then to the more organised national competitions in the 60's, to what we recognise as the standard from more recent decades.

This is the premier event on the Superstock calendar, the one that all drivers strive to win year after year. The podium finishers at this championship earn the right to wear the numbers 1, 2, and 3 on their racecars until the next running of the event.
